On being gay

There is widespread belief among many that we are all born gay, opposed to our detractors who argue that its a choice, a conscious decision to be gay. Personally, I strongly believe that we are born with our same gender attraction. I have no memory of choosing to love men, for as long as I can remember, I have always felt an affinity towards other men. As I grew into puberty, this affinity developed into a full-blown physical attraction.

I am unable to recall any such feelings towards women. In fact, I've never even dated a female. Not once in either high school or university. Deep down inside, I think I've always known that I am gay, even before I fully understood precisely what gay actually entailed. It was just this gut-feeling that I've had all my life.

To my knowledge, I've never had any adult gay role models in my family or among my parent's friends. In other words, no one recruited me. I didn't have any adult that I could approach on this subject until I was in university, about five years after I "came out" to my family and close friends.

Because of my development, I've always believed very strongly and passionately that we are all born gay or same gender loving. With all the homophobia in this world, even today, who in their right mind would actually choose to be gay?

For all the haters and homophobes who claim that it is unnatural, I can only state that it has always been natural for me. I honestly can't remember a time in my life when I wasn't consumed by admiration and desire when I saw a handsome, rugged man. The same-sex attraction never caused any conflict for me.

My Nudity

Writing a blog about being a proud gay nudist is one thing that almost anyone is able to do. The "pride" component is having the courage (balls) to post a picture of your nudity in your post. That's exactly the reason that I'm including the above photo. It's me lying bottoms-up in a clothing-optional resort near my home city in Richmond, Virginia. As a matter of fact, to my knowledge, its the only nudist resort in my home state.

Anyone can say they're a nudist. Really doing it is, unfortunately, a little more involved. Here's me, nude, for all to see! I'm gay, nude and proud! How about you?

Of course, not all nudist bloggers are comfortable in publishing photographs of their nakedness. Just as all gay bloggers feel the importance of acknowledging their sexual orientation. Each person decides for themselves according to her/his circumstances.

This picture of me was taken two years ago, during the summer of 2013. Shortly after this likeness was made, I briefly began shaving my head. The grooming process became too time-consuming and during that Fall, I went back to letting my head hairs grow.

My facial hair is all that I shave. I've never shaved, waxed or laser removed the hairs on my arms, armpits, ass, chest, legs or pubic region. I like myself the way that I naturally am!

Why bother to go naked?

All of us are comfortable and familiar with wearing clothes. That's pretty much the norm in our society. We all do it and think nothing of it. Although I have a closet and a bureau full of clothes of all types, I'm different from most.

The truth of the matter is I prefer living as much as possible outside the world of clothing or fashion. I'm comfortable in my own skin. That means being naked or nude as much as possible. Clothes may look nice on some, but I enjoy the feeling of nothing but the air around me on the skin of my body.

Even when I'm in bed at night, I'd rather not have any type of covering over me. That's the reason we have air conditioning and heating along with thermostats to control the temperature. I know some may laugh and think me silly. Cool. To each his own preference, right?  You do your business and I'll take care of mine.

Besides the comfort, there's another upside to being nude as often as possible. It saves the wear and tear on my clothes and it reduces the number of loads of laundry that I have to wash. This leaves me with more time to do the things that I'd rather be doing, like sports, hanging out with friends (naked, of course), and going out to meet other guys. Did I mention that I'm currently single and looking for a boyfriend?

I exercise at home every day (mornings) and try to watch what I eat. I'm not a fitness fanatic, I just like feeling good about myself and my appearance.

That's why I try to workout at my gym at least four times a week and to take care of my body. I like being healthy and would appreciate having a man to share my heart, soul and body with. We humans are social animals and thrive on companionship.

So until my prince comes along on his horse to rescue me from my solitude, I just try to keep myself from frustration by doing what all men do to get some relief.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read my humble blog. I hope you'll be back soon. In the meantime, check out my profile and contact me if you have any questions. Note: the gifs here aren't me. The photo in my profile is me, though.
